Notice to Participants
Race Kit Collection
Participants can pick up their race kit at Monterey Place lobby from 4th March upon payment and registration.
Deadline of Awards
Participants must finish the whole course by 6:00pm, 11th March to compete for the awards (running and cycling) and by 12:00pm, 11th March to compete for the The Most Creative Pet Walk. Participants are welcome to join the event after the deadline but the results are not entitled to the competition.
Multiple Attempts are allowed
Participants have unlimited chances to race in the event period.
The Most Creative Pet Walk
Participants of Pet Walk can take maximum 1-minute video or photos along the course during the race period and upload them as Instagram Post, including the hashtag of #OSCR2023petpet #OSCR2023 #跑澳南2023 #osouthcoast #澳南海岸 #petsrun and @osouthcoast in the caption and follow @osouthcoast. The 10 most-liked Instagram posts (deadline: 12:00 noon on March 11) will be selected for adjudicator Ms. Toby Chan to choose the top 3 winners based on creativity. For each participant, only the most-liked post will be entitled to the award. Contestants that have not finished the whole pet course will be disqualified.
Finisher Certificate
Every participant can recieve ONE printed finisher certificate. The printing service will be provided from 11:00am to 8:00pm everyday during the race period. If participants finished out of the business hours, please come back in the other days’ business hours within the race period.
Free Parking
All participants are entitled to 2-hour free parking services at O’South Coast malls (Capri Place, Monterey Place, Savannah Place) one time during the race period, Mar 4 to 12, 2023.
Suggested Gear
Participants are responsible for applying appropriate gear, in good condition, for their outdoor activity. Participants are strongly advised to bring enough food and drinks to keep themselves hydrated, a mobile phone with a working network, a powerbank, some cash and/or an Octopus card to ensure safety.
Taking Care of Pets
Make sure you keep your pets under proper control at all times, such as dogs should be put on a leash in public places. Remember to bring newspapers or plastic bags and a bottle of water with you so that you can clean up after your pets.
Electric-powered equipment
Participants in all the categories, including cycling, are not allowed to use electric-powered equipment to complete the race, including and not limited to electric powered wheelchairs, electric bicycles, electric scooter, electric balance scooter, and electric unicycle.
Number BIB
Participants and pets are suggested to wear their number BIBs during the race.
Course Marking
There is no signage along courses for this event. All participants should study the courses carefully before they start.
Timing & Result
For this virtual race, the timing will be supported by mobile app TRAILME. Participants are required to use only the TRAILME app to record the activity. Only the Elapsed Time shown in the TRAILME activity is accepted as the result. Participants should ensure the power of their devices can last for the whole activity. Any activity record other than the suggested APP will not be accepted.
Email Address
Participants should provide the same email address in Registration and TRAILME.
Navigation
All courses are prepared on Google Map. By clicking the prepared hyperlink, participants will be diverted to Google Map, where they can activate the navigation. Participants may also upload the GPX file of the course to their favorite devices.
No Shortcut
All participants must follow the course. Participants will be disqualified if they are found taking shortcuts. Participants of Cycling are required to stay on the cycling track during the race.
No Littering
No littering is allowed on the course. If any participant is found littering, his or her result will be disqualified. Please responsibly dispose of your trash in the rubbish bin along the road and at the finish line.
No Appeal
The organizer’s decision on any disqualification is final.
Emergency
In case of emergency, please call the police.
Adverse weather
Participants are recommended to check the weather forecast from Hong Kong Observatory. Do not start in case of adverse weather conditions (e.g. typhoon, heavy rain, thunderstorm). If participants face adverse weather conditions during the activity, please stop and stay under well-structured shelter.
